Meet Your New Port Richey Community!

If you are thinking of visiting or moving to the New Port Richey community then you should know something about the culture of the city. This is what you might call a roaring 20s city. Old Hickory Hammock was named after Captain Aaron Richey, the man who established the port area. It blossomed in the 1910s and 1920s decade, culminating with an association of powerful actors and studio suits. From then on, development continued. An addition to a railroad as well as a downtown remodeling project stirred the city on. Remodeling and revitalizing efforts continue down to this day.
